If you are feeling stuck, I'm going to help you get unstuck, so you will no longer want to sit on the side of the road, but instead, get up and start running towards your dreams and goals in life. Plus, we are going to hold each other accountable. My name is Kerry and today is Black Women's Moment. I'm so excited for this episode, so let's start the show Again. Hello and welcome to Black Women Moment. So this episode will be short, but it will be food for your thoughts, heart, mind, and soul. So today's Black Women Moment is none other than the beautiful Oprah Winfrey.
Kerry:Oprah Gale Winfrey, often known simply as Oprah, is an American talk show host, television producer, actress, author and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show, the Oprah Winfrey Show, broadcasted from Chicago, which was the highest rated television program of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years, from 1986 to 2011,. Dubbed the Queen of all media, she was the richest African American of the 20th century, which was once the world's only Black billionaire, the greatest Black philanthropist in US history. So, as we know, the color purple is in theaters and it is getting glory reviews. The Oscar nominations have come in and we just were so excited for it. We just so excited that this incredible cast came together and put on such a beautiful cinema experience for us to enjoy.
Kerry:So, Ms. Winfrey, said there is no such thing as failure. And it goes like this there is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to move you in another direction. So I'll say that again there is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to move you in another direction. And too often we get caught up or hung up on failure. We think failure is the end. We think failure means that we have no business attempting to do the thing or things that we want to do and we should just go back to our mundane or ordinary life.
Kerry:Failure is actually a setup. Failure is a setup into your greatness. Failure is a setup, not something that will put you down, but will stand you up, and if you persist through the failure, you will come out victorious On the other side. And I know that for a fact because I am a living witness. I am proof of that. So if we stop looking at failure as it being the end and start looking at failure as the beginning, the beginning of our success. Then our outcome will be so much
Kerry:Sweeter, I'm telling you don't look at failure as you are out, you're out of the game, you're out of the race. No, look at failure as oh, I'm about to walk through this door. I'm about to walk through this door and just expand, expand my horizons. And, on that note, I want to thank you for once again tuning into the show. I'm so appreciative and I'm so grateful and I just want you and I need you to remember that you are loved, you are excellent, you are beautiful, you are well, you are safe and, most importantly, you are you. I will speak with everyone soon for our next full episode, which will be coming next week, and I just want everyone to take care wherever you are, and we will speak soon. I'll talk to you later.
