Kerry:

Happy Wednesday everyone. Today is such an amazing and beautiful day. Hello and welcome to the Melanin Unicorn Podcast, a weekly podcast that is dedicated to the empowerment and upliftment of black women. If you are feeling stuff, I am going to help you get unstuck so you will no longer want to sit on the side of the road, but instead get up and start running towards your dreams and goals in life, plus, hold each other accountable. My name is Kerry and you are listening to today's Black Woman Moment episode. Let's start the show. Welcome back, my fellow Melanin Unicorns. I am so thankful and so grateful that you have chosen to tune in once again to my podcast.

Kerry:

So today's episode is all about the Black Woman Moment, and today we are going to be featuring and talking about the beautiful Dr Ayanna Howard. She is an accomplished roboticist, entrepreneur and educator. She became Dean of the Ohio State University College of Engineering on March 1st 2021. Previously, she was chair of the Georgia Institute of Technology School of Interacting Computing and the College of Computing, as well as founder and director of the Human Automation Systems Lab. So, dean Ayanna Howard, her quote is called Always Be Proud, and here is what she had to say your best champion and cheerleader is yourself. Always be proud of accomplishments, big or small. So I'm going to say that again your best champion and cheerleader is yourself. Always be proud of your accomplishments, big or small. And what Dean Howard is saying here is don't minimize your accomplishments. Don't wait until you feel like your accomplishment has to be so big and grand before you can talk about it. We are to celebrate always, whether it is big or small, and even if it's small, you are to celebrate it as if it was the grandest thing ever, because that's your accomplishment. That's your accomplishment. So, always be proud of what you are doing, always be proud of the work you are accomplishing. Always be proud of you. Remember you are your best cheerleader, you are your best champion.

Kerry:

And on that note, I want to thank you again for tuning in for Black Woman's Moment. I so truly appreciate you being here with me and that you did not find it robbery to listen to this episode.
