Christmas Softness

Kerry Season 2 Episode 19

Some holidays roar with laughter; others whisper in the quiet. This Christmas message meets you wherever you are and wraps you in warmth, breath, and a blessing. We slow the pace with guided breathing, speak life with affirmations that honor worth and rest, and close with a heartfelt prayer covering Black women with peace, protection, and provision. If the season feels tender or loud, scattered or sweet, you are seen here and you are held.

We start by acknowledging the full range of Christmas experiences—joyful traditions, reflective solitude, and the complicated spaces in between. Then we move into simple breathwork to settle the body and clear the mind, followed by affirmations that claim joy, abundance, and softness without apology. These words are not fluff; they are fuel, interrupting the grind and inviting your nervous system back to safety. Gratitude anchors the moment as we honor growth and the healing this community keeps choosing.

A covering prayer brings it all together, calling in renewal for your home, your health, your finances, and your dreams. We ask for clarity and divine alignment for the year ahead, trusting that unexpected miracles can still meet us right where we stand. You’ll leave with a gentle nudge to eat well, rest well, laugh loud, and let yourself feel loved—because you are.

If this message gave you breath or brought you peace, share it with a sister who needs softness today. Subscribe for more soul-nourishing moments, leave a review to help others find the show, and tell us: what affirmation are you carrying into the new year?

Kerry:

Hello, hello, hello, my beautiful tribe, and welcome back to the Melanin Unicorn Podcast. I'm your host, Kerry, and today's episode is a special one. It is a soft, warm moment just to wish you a very Merry Christmas. My sisters, I pray today finds you wrapped in peace, joy, and a whole lot of love. For some, Christmas is filled with laughter, family, and tradition. But for others, it's quiet, reflective, and even tender. No matter what this season looks like for you, I need you to know this. You are worthy of love. You are deserving of rest. You are allowed to receive softness today and every day. Your presence in this community has been an absolute blessing. Thank you for showing up, for growing, for healing, for choosing yourself. And allowing this podcast to be a part of your journey. You matter more than you could ever know. I want you to take a deep breath, Queens. Hold for, and release. I deserve joy, abundance, and peace this holiday season. Love surrounds me, supports me, and flows through me. I give myself permission to rest, receive, and be held. I am grateful for how far I've come. I am honoring my growth. I am open to the blessings, the miracles, and the breakthroughs that are happening right now and that are still on their way. Let these words follow you into the rest of your day. Let's take a deep breath. Hold for four and release. I want to take a moment to pray with you as we come to a close, if that's okay. Father God, thank you for every black woman listening right now. Cover her with your peace, comfort, and protection. Surround her home with love, strengthen her spirit, soften her heart, and remind her of her worth. Let this Christmas be a moment of renewal, a moment where joy returns, hope rises, and clarity opens new doors. Bless her family, her finances, her health, her dreams, and her path. Let the new year bring overflowing abundance, unexpected miracles, and divine alignment. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, your son, and our Lord and Savior, I do pray this. I believe it, I receive it, I decree it, and I declare it. Amen, amen, and amen. Queen, I am wrapping you right now, all my queens, in the biggest virtual hug today. May your Christmas be gentle, joyful, and beautifully yours. Eat well, rest well, laugh loud, and let yourself feel loved. Because you are. Merry Christmas, my loves. Merry, Merry Christmas. I love you. I'm praying for you. And I will see you in our next episode as we prepare. Because we are preparing to be stepping into the most amazing new year together. Take care of yourself. Be good to yourself. I love you. Bye.
